Skiing

While most time in the mountains is spent fighting gravity; skiing allows one to be released from those chains. No moment is as unforgettable or euphoric as the feeling of weightlessness as one makes turns through snow.

When skiing at a resort much time is spent searching out little pockets of untracked snow or waiting in a lift line to be as close to that precious first chair as possible. This isn't the experience that skiing has to be, if you are willing to put the effort in to learn a few new skills they can open an untracked world.

Whether you have never been backcountry skiing before and want to push the boundaries of the resort or your experienced in the backcountry looking to ski technical lines Mountain Corn Adventures can help you make that step.

Courses:

Backcountry basics : In this course skills students will get off the chairlift and begin learning what is necessary to travel safely through the mountains on their own. Skills covered will include but not be limited to skinning, reading snow, route finding/ hazard management and beacon use. This is a one or two day course depending on the depth and time students want to spend on skills presented.
